But for the millions of people who think online shopping is the way to go, we now have one of our newest member benefits – the RCI Shopping Perks program. Our RCI Shopping Perks program provides all of the convenience of online shopping with an added advantage: Cash Back rewards that you can use towards the cost of your RCI subscribing membership.

As head of retention and loyalty programs in North America, I have to think about what new membership benefits we can provide in order to give our members the best value for their dollars. As a consumer, I know I am always looking for ways to save money. Combining the two is the genius behind the RCI Shopping Perks program – members can save money on products they plan to buy anyway. How much is saved depends on how much is spent.

How does it work? Just sign into www.rci.com, go to the Member Perks section, and click on  RCI Shopping Perks. That’s all there is to it. Shop as you normally would. You’ll receive a confirmation of your purchases and your savings. You will receive quarterly checks every time you reach $25 in savings on qualified items. There are hundreds of merchants and thousands of items.

The RCI Shopping Perks program looks great but how come it is not available to Canadians. I have been asking this question for 3 years now and RCI keeps telling me that they are working on it. Why is it so difficult to create an affinity program for the many Canadian RCI Members. What do other Canadians have to say about this ??

Two Questions -
1. Is there a way for me to use my RCI Platinum card to get Shopping PerksSM benefit while shopping in person vice internet shopping?
2. If I am internet shopping - when I go through your site the links take me to the US sites. Some of those sites have follow on links to Canadian sites. Is the linkage maintained back to your site for the benefits if I order on a Canadian site that is once removed?

1. Unfortunately at this time the RCI Shopping Perks Program is only available online.
2. While the program is available to Canadian members, those members need to purchase on US sites that are linked to from the mall online.

I can't get on to shopping perks... i am a platinum member and canadian. i can get into everything platinum site , but not the perks. I could before they change the system. they tell me it's in my computer but I have used at least 10 different computers and used different IE versions and nothing. is there anyone that can help. I have phoned tech support but only by email. through a customer service rep. HELP I am not at home today and someone can send me an email and we can setup a time for them to phone me.

Has the Shopping Perks program been discontinued for Points members?

I have been trying to access Shopping Perks since 11/25/2011 and have spent countless hours speaking with reps, emailing, and posting on the Facebook page. At various times., I've been told: this is a temporary problem; IT is aware of the problem and has been working on it; the program is only available to RCI credit card holders; the program is only available to Platinum members, and/or I should use an older version of IE 7 or 8 or Mozilla Foxfire 3.5 even though versions 9.0 are current.

I believe there is a problem with the link below. Since I log in as a Points member, the coding should reflect that: Points=true, not Weeks=true.

Hi Deb, unfortunately some members are still having trouble accessing the RCI Shopping Perks site. Our IT team continues to look into it, and we will email you as soon as we have an update. One correction - the newer versions of Firefox (8.0 & 9.0) are working best as opposed to version 3.5.

shopping perks is still a problem for me also. the old addage "if it ain't broke don't fix it" come to mind... would love to go shopping. i'm glad to know I'm not the only one. when I talked to the techs that is the impression I got.
