Banff Trip 2009

This year we fulfilled one of the many places on our "bucket list" by going to Banff National Park. We stayed at Panorama Village in beautiful British Columbia. By far, this was one of the nicest and most quiet locations we have ever stayed in, in our 20 years as RCI subscribing members. The resort staff was so friendly and helpful. Everyone there truly seemed to enjoy working there. While staying there we managed to visit 3 of the Provencial Parks in the area; Yoho, Banff, and Kootenay. The scenery in the area is some of the most breathtaking I have ever seen. One week was definitely not long enough. We are already making plans to visit the area in a few years, driving there this time instead of flying. The Provencial Parks of Canada are some of the most beautiful and clean parks I have ever experienced (the US could take some pointers). I'm sure they get crazy busy during the summer, but as we chose to go in September, the crowds were non-existent. I have been to a lot of parks and resorts, but these rate at the very top for unmatched beauty and service.

The three parks (Yoho, Kootenay, Banff) are Canadian 'National' parks - not BC provincial parks in case anyone looks them up. Glad you enjoyed them. There are three others in the locale and many provincial parks.
