Hawaii

We have been RCI subscribing members for about 20 years and have made many exchanges, once to Austria, 10 times to Kauai/Hawaii, and many times to our "home resort" of French Lick, IN. We usually invite family to go also and have many wonderful shared memories. Our first trip to Hawaii while on Oahu we visited Pearl Harbor with our daughter, son-in-law, and three year old grandson. Our grandson certainly broke the "silence" by getting his head stuck in the railing while looking for the ship!

Hi, I'm an RCI member (newbie) and would love to see Hawaii. Can you please tell me which (resorts)of your 10 visits were most breathtaking and if flights to other islands or cities like Honolulu are do-able? Thanks so much, Lydia in Canada

Hi Lydia. You may find the reviews on RCI.com helpful in choosing the perfect Hawaii vacation. These were written by other RCI subscribing members. Just go to the Resort Directory and click on the “reviews” tab for each resort you are interested in.

As you can imagine, there is very high demand for Hawaii, but there are several things you can do to increase your chances of securing one of those spots. If you are an RCI Weeks member and this is somewhere you really want to stay but don’t have enough Deposit Trading Power, you now have the option to combine deposits to increase your likelihood of getting the exchange. (For more information on combining deposits, please refer to http://www.rci.com/combineddeposits.) It may also be worthwhile to open an Ongoing Search for your vacation because as weeks get deposited into the system they are often matched first with open Ongoing Searches. If you’re an RCI Points member, you have the option to borrow Points from your next Use Year. (For more information on borrowing Points, you can refer to http://www.rci.com/borrowingpoints.)
