Maple Syrup in Vermont

We visited Vermont during late September to realize my lifelong dream of seeing the New England leaves turning. We found a little jewel of a farm near our mountain-top resort that shared their love and family history of riding out on a horse with a cart in the freezing winter snow to tap the nearby acres of sugar trees for sap which was then boiled down (in the family sugar shack) to yield this rich tasting, amber nectar... delicious maple syrup!
