A honeymoon in paradise

Jen B. - RCI Weeks Destination TipsCrystal clear waters, soft sandy beaches and luxurious pampering…if you’re looking for an amazing honeymoon destination Cancun has it all!

My husband and I arrived on a sunny Saturday in June and were whisked away to our resort. From the minute we arrived we knew it was going to be a week to remember. We were met at the door with coconut milk and refreshing towels. Upon arrival in our room we were surprised to find a small cake congratulating us on our honeymoon! That kind of attention to detail and personal service didn’t stop there. Everyone we encountered throughout our trip was incredibly friendly and eager to help. From bringing us drinks on the beach, to setting up umbrellas and filling our tub, the service was exceptional, just one of the great things to experience with Cancun hospitality.

The greatest thing about our trip was amazing options Cancun had to offer. We could spend the day sitting on the beach, take a walk down to the local town for some shopping or go on an adventure to one of the many attractions nearby…and we did it all. Our little adventure took us to Chichen Itza, a capital city of the ancient Mayan civilization. We planned our tour through the resort and had a wonderful time exploring the ruins, learning the history and experiencing the culture of this amazing place. The tour even took us to a local restaurant for some traditional Mexican food.

Overall we couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend our honeymoon. We can’t wait to go back and do it all over again!

Come back to the RCI Blog this week to read stories and see photos of RCI subscribing members who have honeymooned at an RCI affiliated resort. Do you have a great photo or story about your honeymoon at an RCI affiliated resort? If so, share it here and we may feature it at the end of the week!
