Fall in the Massachusetts Mountains is a magical experience. New England is known for its fall foliage and the Berkshires put you right in the middle of it all. Take a drive or a leisurely hike though the mountains and marvel at the amazing colors around you or just look out your window at the tree lined streets, spectacular colors are everywhere. While you’re enjoying the sights, be sure to stop by the Berkshire Botanical Gardens for their Annual Harvest Festival for a taste of some local foods, crafts and entertainment for the whole family.
Want a closer look? Fall is the best time of year to head to one of the local farms! Pick your own apples, blueberries and pumpkins…take a hay ride and enjoy fresh cider. These are just a few of the great experiences you can have at one of the many U-Pick farms in Massachusetts. If you like music, be sure to check out the Pittsfield City Jazz Festival for great entertainment and don’t forget to stop by a local restaurant or two for some incredible seasonal treats.
