Thinking of visiting the Dominican Republic? Try Punta Cana!

German R. - RCI and Caribbean NewsIf you are looking for a great Caribbean destination that has a lot to offer, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is the place to be! Tourists from all over the world – including US, Canada, France, Chile, Spain, Germany, Italy and China – visit this amazing hot spot every year. And I can assure you that once your plane lands in Punta Cana, you will immediately start to feel the vibe of this Caribbean paradise. There is even a local band playing live music in the airport!

When you start planning your vacation to Punta Cana, think about the type of resort you would like to stay in. Personally, I like resorts that offer an all inclusive (AI) plan. It’s convenient and I don’t have to worry about continually spending money while I’m there since everything is paid for upfront. Usually the AI plans include: meals, snacks, drinks, activities such as exercise classes, access to tennis courts and/or golf courses and guided hikes, and entertainment like shows, dancing and live music.

If you do go outside an AI plan, Punta Cana offers a wide selection of nice restaurants and dining options that range from local food to high international cuisine.

And I can’t forget to tell you about the beaches! Punta Cana is home to beautiful white sand beaches with blue turquoise water. It’s breathtaking. Beaches I suggest to visit are: Uvero Alto, Arena Gorda, Macao, Cabeza de Toro and El Cortecito. You won’t be disappointed!

One last thing…if you are a golfer, you’ll be happy to know that Punta Cana is considered one of the hottest golf destinations in the Caribbean. There are more than 12 golf courses. I’d recommend Punta Espada, Las Iguanas, La Cana and Punta Blanca.

If you visit Punta Cana, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Make sure to come back to the RCI Blog this week to read about how much RCI subscribing members have enjoyed Punta Cana as well.

Depending on resort and season, all-inclusive fees may cover meals, drinks, tours, transportation, resort activities, resort amenities, services and facilities. Cape Cod Falmouth

We vacationed this summer in Falmouth on Cape Cod. Four generations of our family made the trip this year. What an experience. The great grandchildren loved the ocean. We spent a lot of time at Woodneck Beach. We were surprised to see starfish on the beach the first time in our many years on the Cape. The men in our family including our 5 year old great grandson went deep-sea fishing. What a great time they had. The best part was they caught fish that we enjoyed for dinner and packaged some for future dinners. Our stay at Briarwood Resort was enjoyable. Our 18 mo. grandson loved the pool activities. We will remember this family trip with joy.

Husband's 40th Birthday

Last year was my husband's 40th birthday. Being a stay at home mom I really didn't have a lot of money to spend for a luxury vacation. I was really bummed until I remembered that I had a few weeks available in my RCI account. I reviewed all the places that RCI could take me in January and found Cancun to be a perfect fit. I was able to book a room for my mom and her boyfriend, my mother-in-law and her boyfriend and my family of 4 in a wonderful all-inclusive resort. When we arrived at the Hotel Solaris it was amazing!!! Everything from gorgeous grounds, a beautiful pool and SO MUCH FOOD AND DRINKS!!! It was a great family vacation as well as a great 40th Birthday! Thanks RCI!!!!!

All Inclusive? Yes, you can

Humberto Z. - RCI News and Updates in Latin AmericaThere’s one thing I can tell you that I love the most about vacationing. It’s hearing three simple words: “Yes, you can.” Honestly, who doesn’t?!

Just imagine…you sitting on a beach, after a nice swim at the most incredible place in the Caribbean or watching a beautiful sunset somewhere in Mexico and thinking…what about a nice massage? “Yes, you can.” Or…what about getting to know all the incredible places around here? “Yes, you can.” Or, maybe…what about a nice a-la-carte dinner? “Yes, you can”.

I could go on and on with tons of examples, but instead, I would rather invite you to take a look at stories and pictures from RCI subscribing members, just like you, having the time of their lives while enjoying the benefits of an all inclusive resort! We’ll be focusing on all inclusive vacations all week, so make sure you visit our blog to check them out.

…and one last thing I must tell you: An all inclusive resort is something you should try at least once. Who knows, it might just be what you needed all along!
